An event dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture was organized at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Systems of BrSTU. This holiday is celebrated annually on May 24 and was founded in the memory of two famous scholars - Cyril and Methodius, who made a huge contribution to the creation of the Slavic alphabet and the development of education.
The festival was opened with thematic compositions of participants of the folk theater studio «Slovo».
During the presentation «History of Slavic Writing» the library staff of BrSTU introduced the history of books, printing, Slavic alphabet, methods of teaching of literacy in ancient times.
At the exhibition of cultural and everyday objects «Slavic kaleidoscope» were performed the national costumes, ornaments, utensils and other cultural items.
Everyone was able to make a Slavic charm in the form of a doll at a master class. Our Venezuelan student Monsalve Gabazutt Erika Esmeralda also participated in this spectacular event.
The event ended with a quest game “Where are we from?” where the guys demonstrated their knowledge of the history of Slavic culture and writing.
