On October 28, 2022, a traditional meeting of foreign students studying at BrSTU with representatives of law enforcement authorities took place. During the event, the students were reminded of the rules of stay for foreign citizens on the territory of the Republic of Belarus and familiarized with the specifics of the national labor legislation.
Kristina Igorevna Lasitsa, Senior Inspector of the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, in her address warned the young people against committing administrative offenses, spoke about the rich opportunities that Belarusian legislation provides for foreign citizens to engage in labor activities on legal grounds.
Deputy Head of the Department for Citizenship and Migration of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Administration of the Moskovsky District of Brest, Natalya Vladimirovna Denisyuk, drew attention to the importance of timely processing of registration documents, said that the specialists of the department constantly monitor the places and conditions of living of foreign students of BrSTU.
Anatoly Anatolyevich Ikonopolo, senior commissioner for especially important cases of the department of operational and investigative activities, representing the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus, reminded those present about the fact that while in Brest, the western gate of our country, foreign students should comply with the requirements of the legislation on the State Border of the Republic of Belarus.
During the meeting, foreign students had the opportunity to get competent and prompt answers to their questions related to their stay in the country.
The guests of the university noted that foreign students of BrSTU respect the observation of migration legislation, expressed the hope that while staying in the Republic of Belarus, the guys use the time not only to study, but also to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Belarusian people.
During the existence of the Brest State Technical University, more than 1,000 foreign students from about 40 countries of the world have been educated there.
